RC Hovercraft Servos
There are at least four ways to hook up servos to a GH model hovercraft
Method 1: You can attach the servo to the rudders indirectly via a stiff wire.
A standard size servo, although heavier, works just fine, even with the single motor GH-1!

Method 2: you can attach the servo directly to the swiveling duct.

Method 3: You can attach a servo directly to the rudders, so that theyswivel.

Method 4: You can hook up a servo to the swiveling duct indirectly via a stiff wire. The swiveling duct stand which comes with every duct would be used for this method.
Finally, here's a method for controlling a twin motor hovercraft by radio control without a speed controller and without a 3 channel radio. The problem is that with a 2 channel radio, you can either hook up your speed controller to control both motors or just one motor. But what you really want is to be able to switch on and off your lift motor by remote control, but still be able to have the fun of letting your model hover along without using thrust, and then, when it is necessary, switching the thrust back on. The following method will let you do this, although it will not let you control the speed of the motors.
Two microswitches were glued to a servo at slightly different angles. Each switch was connected to a motor. When the trigger on a pistol style R/C radio was pulled half way, the lift motor came on. When the trigger was pulled all the way, the thrust motor came on. It took a little getting used to, and it was a compromise, but it was a fun to use.
